The Will of Jenney Anderson

I Jenney Anderson of Cumberland County wife of George Anderson dec’d do make 
this my last will and testament, That is to say I give to my daughter Pheabee 
Dunkum wife of William Dumkum of Albemarle County and my son Lewis Anderson of 
Albemarle County the negro boy Sam which was given to me by George Anderson 
dec’d to be equally divided between them or there representatives that is that 
any child or children stand in the place of there deceased father or mother

I do appoint my son Lewis Anderson my Executor to the above will to act as 
above directed.

May the twenty ninth 1823.

At a Court held for Cumberland County the 28th day of March 1825.  This last 
will and testament of Jinny Anderson dec’d was presented in court and proved 
by the oaths of John Anderson and James Anderson, two witnesses thereto, 
ordered that the same be recorded on the motion of Lewis Anderson Executor in 
said will named who with William Dunkum and Moses Dunkum his securities, 
entered into and acknowledged their bond for the purpose in the penalty of 
Five hundred dollars conditioned according to law and took the oath required 
by law.  Certificate for obtaining a probate thereof in due form is granted 
him.
