found after expenses to hold [indebted to the Estate] $67.78.

Legatees: 1) son Frederick Hatcher, 2) son Sam'l Hatcher, 3) son Henry Hatcher, 
4) son John Hatcher, 5) son Josiah Hatcher, 6) dau. Sally Hobson wife of Benjamin Hobson, 
7) Elizabeth H. French "who married Hugh French", 8) granddaughter Elizabeth French, 
9) dau. Nancy French who married Robert French, 10) dau. Martha Powell married Benjamin H. Powell, 
11) dau Mary Flippin who married James Flippin, 12) grandaughter Sally H. Hill now Salley Talley 
who married Sam Talley.  Executors sons Sam, John and Josiah.

Will Book 10, page 125- 20 Mar 1839, John Hatcher Estate, Account of Sam'l Hatcher Executor.  
Nine equal distributions of $114.67 to Henry Hatcher, Jno Hatcher Jr, Josiah Hatcher, Robert 
French & wife, Benjamin Hobson & wife, Jms Flippin & wife, Est. of Sam'l Talley, and Est. 
of Fred Hatcher.  Accounting is followed by a "Division of the Slaves of the Est. of John 
Hatcher dec'd by the legatees.  Persons obtaining slaves were Samuel Hatcher, Benj. Hobson, 
Est. Fred. Hatcher, Henry Hatcher, John Hatcher, Josiah Hatcher, and Sam'l Talley. "Robert 
French and James Flippin being indebted to the Est. under the will of Jno. Hatcher was present 
at the above division, and consenting as their signatures below proves.

but if she dies without heirs or before reaching 21, equally to surviving children of his two sisters, 
Susan Woodson dec'd and Mary Booker.  Executor is his uncle Samuel Hatcher. Signed William D. Hatcher;

approved 17 Sept 1852.  Account includes payment of $1.25 in Dec 1850 for "pd D. Hatcher - cash sent $1.25"
