First I commend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth from whence it came to be buried in a Christian like manner. Item. I give to my loving wife Mary Merryman Simon, Sissey during her natural life and after her death to be equally divided between my two sons hereafter mentioned. Item. I give my son Thomas Merryman Bob, Charity and Anthony. Item. I give my son Ralph Merryman George, Nanny, Sally and Luck. Item. It is my desire that Joe and David be sold to pay my creditors. Item. It is my will and desire that the legacy left to my wife Mary Merryman (from?)father Ralph Flippen be equally divided between sons Thomas and Ralph after Martha FlippenÕs death. Item. It is my will and desire that all money owing ? to my estate after my just debts are paid if there be any money left to be put to É?... and to be equally divided between my two sons Thomas and Ralph Merryman.
