Hudgins, in the county of Cumberland and state of Virginia being in good health and of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And as to my worldly estate, and all the property real, personal or mixed of which I shall die siezed and possessed. I bequesth in the manner following First. My will is, that all my funeral expenses shall by my executors hereunafter named shall be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient, all the rest of my estate, real, personal or mixed, I give, devise and bequeath to Mr. and Mrs. Collie Carrington. March 14, 1925 T. E. Hudgins Florine M. White (wit.) L.R. White (wit.) Virginia, County of Cumberland, to-wit: In the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the County of Cumberland, this the 17th. day of August, 1927, and in the 152nd. year of the Commonwealth. It apearing that Thomas E. Hudgens late of the County of Cumberland, departed this life the 14th day of August, 1927, leaving the above paper writing, bearing date on the 14th day of March, 1925, purporting to be the last true will and testament of the said Thomas E. Hudgens, dec'd. And whereas, the said writing having this day been produced before the Clerk in said office by Mrs. Helen T. Carrington, one of the distributees mentioned in said will, and proven according to law by the oaths of Florine M. White and L. R. White, the two subscribing witnesses thereto: therefore on motion of the said Mrs Helen T. Carrington, it is ordered that the said writing be and the same hereby is established, probated, and admitted to record as and for the true last will and testament of the said Thomas E. Hudgens, deceased, Thereupon, no Executors being named in said will on motion of Mrs. Helen T. Carrington, one of the distributees mentioned insaid will, it is ordered that she be and she is hereby appointed as Executrix of the afresaid will: Thereupon the said Mrs. Helen T. Carrington personally appeared before the said Clerk in office and qualified as such Executrix by taking the oath as the law directs and entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $300.00, with Collie Carrington her surety (who justified as to his sufficiency on oath) conditioned and payable according to law, said bond having been approved by the clerk it is ordered to be recorded. Thereupon the said Mrs. Helen T. Carrington is granted certificates for obtaining probate of the said will in due form of law. It is ordered that P. B. Trice, R. S. Flanagan, W. A. Abernathy, W. O. Paxton and John Dunford or any three of them, being first duly sworn for the purpose, do truly and justly appraise such of the goods and chattels of Thomas E.
