The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************ Wills Richard Wilson 1827 Cumberland County VA In the name of God, amen, I, Richard Wilson, of the County of Cumberland, being low in health, but of sound mind and memory do make, constitute and ordain this to be my last will and Testament, to wit: lst it is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid and then I dispose of my Estate in the following manner, that is to say I give and bequeath to my son, Allen Wilson, the tract of lands where I now live, to him and his heirs forever, I give to my daughter Nancy Price in addition to what I shall give her in the next clause of my will, a negro girl by the name of Ann, to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my four children Polly Johnson, Daniel A. Wilson, John (W? D?) Wilson, and Nancy Price all the rest and residue of my estate of whatever kind soever, to be equally divided between them. I give unto my Grandchildren Thomas, Richard & Hillary Booth the sum of Fifty pounds each to be paid to John Booth, their ________, and for their use whenever they arrive to the age of Twenty One years, that sum to be paid by my five children abovenamed in equal proportions out of that part of the Estate which I have devised them. I appoint Allen Wilson, Daniel A Wilson and John (W?) Wilson, Executors of this my last will and testament, and it is my wish that they may not be bound to give security for their Executorship. In testimonoy whereof I hereunto have set my hand and affixed my seal the 25th day of September 1826. Signed Richard Wilson, Signed sealed published and declared in presence of T Woodson, Elisha Woodsin , Daniel C Edwards. At a Court held for Cumberland County the 22nd day of January 1827 This last will and testament of Richard Wilson deceased was produced in Court and proved by the oaths of Elisha Woodsin and Daniel C. Edwards _____and ordered to be recorded. On the motion of Allen Wilson, one of the Executors in said will named, who made oath according to law, certificate for obtaining a probate thereof in due form is granted to him.
