In manner and form following, that is to say. 1st Desire that the following property to wit, one colt seven head of young cattle, about thirty head of hogs, and nine sheep, also one feather bed, all table furniture and plantation utensels, together with the crop of tobacco, corn and fodder, to be e- qually divided among the following legatees. To wit, Fanny Jenkins, Polly Hatcher, Lucy Hatcher, Frederick Hatcher, and Eliza Goodman, daugh- ter of Josiah and Susanna Goodman. 2nd and lastly. I desire that Frederick Hatcher should be the executor of this my last will and Tes- tament. In witnefs whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and affixed my seal, this 26th day of Octo- ber, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and twenty-five. This account of sales of the Estate of Elizabeth Hatcher dec'd was presented in Court and Ordered to be recorded Teste Thomas Woodson D.C. Will Book 8, page 262 December 1826, Order of Division of Eliz Hatcher's Dower: Division of Agreeable to an order of the County Court of Cumberland, dated Eliz Hatcher's November Term 1826, to us directed, as Commifsioners to Dower divide and allot to those entitled to receive the Dower lands of Elizabeth Hatcher dec'd widow of Drury Hatcher deceased. We Hezekiah Ford, Epas Hobson, Thomas Cooper and John D. Ganett, commifsioners aforesaid, under the aforesaid order, having met for the purpose of complying with the same, have after taking into consideration the values of the dwelling house, as well as the difference in the value of the lands (finding that it would be inequitable to divide the said land equally as to quantity) divided the said lands agreeable to the annexed platt, furnished by John Baughan, the surveyor employed under the aforesaid order, to which plat (making the same a part of our report) reference is made, as to the quantity and boundaries of each allotment; afsigning to WM: HATCHER lot No. 11. to HENRY HATCHER, Lot no. 2. to BENJAMIN HATCHER, lot no. 9. to JOHN HATCHER, Lot no. 10 To FREDERICK HATCHER lot no 1. Ford Master Com'sr At a Court held for Cumberland County the 27th Septr 1830 The foregoing statement & report of the settlement of the accounts of Fred Hatcher as exor of Elizabeth Hatcher dec'd was presented in Court and ordered to lie for exceptions till next court And at a Court held for Said County the 25th Octr 1830 The Said Statement & report were again presented in Court & no exceptions being filed thereto the same were ordered to be recorded. "First It is my will & desire that my Estate should be kept together untill my youngest child becomes of age or as they marry that each shall be entitled to draw one equal moyety after taking off my wifes third.
