Go left on 671 for about .3 mile until you come to a split in the road. Take the right fork, this being now Route 679 and follow for just over a mile. This is Nancy, VA and is only marked with a small, easily missed sign. On the left will be a house in a clearing. This is the Grizzle residence and the cemetery is on their property. It is marked on the USGS map as just "cemetery." FIELD NOTES: 11/23/98 This tiny cemetery is well kept and frequently visited. Several flowers and fossils were left on the base of at least 2 stones. FORMAT Note: Items in parenthesis are the best guess of the researcher. Items in brackets are my comments. A double stone is two people on one stone - usually husband and wife unless otherwise indicated. "Similar stone" indicates that the stones were of similar design perhaps helping to identify wives and husbands. If you have information on any of the people here, please feel free to e-mail me at zens@mindspring.com. Thank you. PHOTOGRAPHS AVAILABLE Some photographs were taken of the stones under the best light and angle possible, but it is almost always true that more information can be discerned from being there, especially because the pictures are stored in the 'lossy' compressed format of .JPG. Send your request to me at zens@mindspring.com, and give me 2 days to figure out which zip disk they’re on or if i’ve even taken those pictures. There is no charge, just trying to help.
