DICKNSON COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES - Kiser Cemetery On Flat Spur ----¤¤¤---- LATITUDE/LONGITUDE 370133N 821510W (from USGS Quad Map: Nora, VA) DIRECTIONS >From Dante, VA head North on Rt 63 several miles to Flint Gap, where Rt 657 stems off to the right. Go right on 657 for less than 1/4 mile and take the first left on Rt 658. Follow 658 for at least a mile until it continues straight into the woods, keeping to the right. The road ends right at the cemetery. FIELD NOTES: 2/14/99 This cemetery is fenced in and in good condition. More importantly someone has made good use of the metal funeral plaques to mark fieldstones and hard-to-read or crumbling tombstones. This is wonderful, and I wish I knew who took the time to do this to thank them personally. FORMAT Note: Items in parenthesis are the best guess of the researcher. Items in brackets are my comments. A double stone is two people on one stone - usually husband and wife unless otherwise indicated. SURNAME LIST HICKS, KISER, McCOWAN, PERRY, RASNICK, SHOOK, SUTHERLAND, and WISE.
