DICKNSON COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES - James F. Silcox Cemetery Near Aily ----¤¤¤---- LATITUDE/LONGITUDE 370447N 821757W (from USGS Quad Map: Nora, VA) DIRECTIONS >From Nora, VA head south on Rt 63 to Rt 604 on the left. Take 604 several miles between where Rt 660 crosses and before Aily, VA. After the intersection with 660, the very next left-hand turn (onto gravel) that you can make will go up to Silcox Ridge. It is steep and winding, but after you reach the ridge look for a group of pines on your left, because the cemetery is not easily seen. FIELD NOTES: 2/14/99 This cemetery is very overgrown and I probably would not have found it except that it was winter and much of the foliage was down. It is fenced with barbed wire, and framed with tall cypress or cedar trees. FORMAT Note: Items in parenthesis are the best guess of the researcher. Items in brackets are my comments. A double stone is two people on one stone - usually husband and wife unless otherwise indicated. SURNAME LIST SILCOX.
