He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He owned and operated Roberta's Trucking Company for 32 years. Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Stella (Sutherland) Fleming; and his brother, Wayne Fleming. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Roberta Fleming of Clintwood; daughter, Drema Stanley and her husband, Dennis of Clintwood; son, Mitchell Fleming and Shirley Sowards of Pound; daughter, Pam Childress of Clintwood; three sisters, Betty Willis of Clintwood and Brenda Godsey and Linda Willis, both of Bristol Tennessee; and four grandsons, Brandell Fleming, Dustin Stanley, Blake Childress and Devin Stanley. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with clergymen Lew Mullins, David Mullins, L. Myers Mullins and Greg Stanley officiating. Burial will be in the Fleming Family Cemetery, Route 2, Georges Fork Section, Clintwood. Pallbearers will be Dennis Stanley, Brandell Fleming, Dustin Stanley, Greg Willis, Craig Willis, Ronald Childress, Jeff Willis, Brian Willis, Cameron Fleming, Kevin Fleming, Blake Childress and Devin Stanley. Honorary pallbearers: Ivan Stanley, Paul Stone, Roy McKay, Ricky Gilliam, Mitchell Wright, Carlos Stanley, Donald Stanley and Jim Robinson. The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel where a service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Mullins Funeral Home is serving the Fleming family.
