Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Clintwood Funeral Home. Bristol Herald Courier Thursday, March 20, 2003 Paul Burns Mullins CLINTWOOD -- Paul Burns Mullins, 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 18, at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol Tennessee. He was the son of the late Earl and Thelma Mullins. His parents; a brother, Joseph Mullins; and sister, Betty Vaughn preceded him in death. He was a member of Flemingtown Freewill Baptist Church where he had attended all of his life. Mr. Mullins was also a member of the Clintwood Masonic Lodge 66 and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Nell Mullins; two wonderful daughters, Paula Mullins, Fairfax, and Peggy Stallard and husband Randy of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, Hayley Stallard and Kerry R. Stallard, both of whom were the pride and joy of his life; a brother, John Mullins, Fredericksburg; five sisters, Mary Branham, Coeburn, Earline Phillips, Dante, Mable Lawhorn, Ormond Beach, Fla., Mona Mullins, Bristol Tennessee, and Joyce Lightstone, Wilmington, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday from the Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Joe Glenn Sluss, Lester Mullins and James Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery, Flemingtown. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The Clintwood Masonic Lodge 66 will conduct services at 7 p.m. with a song service to follow. VFW Post 8979, DAV Chapter 35, and American Legion Post 227 will conduct military graveside services. Nephews and other family members will serve as pallbearers. Flowers will be accepted or the family suggests a memorial contribution to Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol Tennessee, or the American Cancer Society.
