French McCLURE, Va. -- Snoda Ethel Counts French, 82, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, at Dickenson County Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Margaret Deel Counts; her husbands, Maynard French and Eddie Tackett; her daughters, Dollie Mae French, her half brothers, Garland, Kes and Silas Counts; her half sisters, Bessie, Minnie, Martha, Sadie, Hettie and Ida Counts; and one grandson. Survivors include: one daughter, Carrie and husband Alan Ganzman of Oxnard, Calif.; three sons, James French and wife Shirley, Arnold French and wife Nancy and Hershal French and wife Madeline, all of McClure; two brothers, Gool Counts and Henry Counts of Livingston, Mont.; three sisters, Goldie French of McClure, Delcie Stacup of White City, Ore., and Jean Miller of Livingston; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robbie Hay and Pastor Gary Clark officiating. Burial will be in the French Family Cemetery, Route 1, McClure. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Seckman, Evans French, Roy French and Hank French. The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Mullins Funeral Home Chapel where a service will be held at 7 p.m. Mullins Funeral Home is serving the French family.
