She was a native of Sullivan County and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Bailey Taylor; and a sister, Dorothy See. She was a member of the Denton's Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Danny Turner, Haysi; sons, Clark B. Powers Jr., St. Paul, and Lucas J. Powers, Abingdon; a daughter, Mary Ray and husband Craig, Saltville; stepsons, Marty Turner, Haysi, Steve Powers, Meadowview, Craig Turner, Georgia, Va.; a brother, Alvin Taylor, Bristol Tennessee; sisters, Margaret Greer, Bristol Tennessee, and Hazel Mitchell, Bristol Virginia; grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlin and Jessee Powers, Miranda and Gracie Ray, Whitley Roark, Alexis and Mackenzie Powers; and several nieces and nephews and many friends. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Farris Funeral Chapel with Pastor Floyd Nelson and Rev. Paul White officiating. Interment will be in the Rhudy Cemetery.
