Doyle graveyard: 1937 Mar. 18 Research made by Mamie Fraser Cemetery Location: 3 miles southeast of Dinwiddie, Virginia and about 400 yards south of Route #626. Dinwiddie County DATE: 1903 OWNERS: The plantation on which this graveyard is located was owned first by Dr. Cornelius Watson Doyle, next owned by his son, Herbert Doyle and now owned by Watson Doyle, nephew of Dr. Cornelius Watson Doyle. (1937) DESCRIPTION: There is only one tombstone in this graveyard, which marked Dr. Cornelius Watson Doyle’s grave. The plot is enclosed with an iron fence. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following is the inscription on tombstone: Cornelius Watson Doyle, M.D. Son of John & Catherine Doyle Born October 1835 Fell Asleep in Jesus March 14, 1903 His last words: I am going to die and go to Glory, Precious wife, Darling boys. The following are buried in this graveyard, but have no tombstones. Mrs. Cora L. Jones Doyle Wife of Dr. Cornelius W. Doyle Died in the year 1921 H. Watson Doyle Son of Dr. Cornelius W. Doyle and Cora L. Jones Doyle Born September 23, 1883 Died May 26, 1906 Herbert Doyle Son of Dr. Cornelius W. and Cora L.
