Cemetery Location:  A short distance south of the Ettenborough home on the south 
                    side and in the rear, and about one tenth of a mile directly 
                    east of Dinwiddie, Virginia.
                    Dinwiddie County


DATE:

The earliest date on tombstone is 1871.

OWNERS:

Mrs. Arabella Sterns, daughter of William and Eliza Ettenborough, Dinwiddie, 
Virginia. (1936)

DESCRIPTION:

This graveyard is enclosed by a quaint looking stone wall, with ivy running over 
it.  All of the graves in this lot are marked except one.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

This is a tall marble monument, containing two inscriptions, one on the north 
and one on the south sides.

North:

Sallie Wilkinson
Wife of B.P. King
Born Dec. 20, 1802
Died Feb. 6, 1871
Mourn not for me.

South:

Benjamin Potter King
Born Aug. 10, 1801
Died June 29, 1875
He died as he lived, a pure upright man

West:

This is a tall marble monument, containing two inscriptions, one on the north and one on the south side:

North:

Eliza Jane Ettenborough
Jan. 25, 1829
Drakesville, Morris Co., New Jersey
Nov. 26, 1893

South:

William Ettenborough
Oct. 5, 1824
Towcester
Northamptonshire
England
July 15, 1890


The unmarked grave is that of William M. Sterne,
Born in 1857 and died in March 1920.

The Ettenboroughs mentioned above were the parents of Mrs. Arabella Ettenborough 
(Mrs. W.M.) Sterne, and the Kings listed were her grandparents.
