Research made by Mamie Fraser Cemetery Location: 2 miles east of Dinwiddie, Virginia, on Route #626; thence south 3.7 miles on Route #660; thence west about 50 yards on private road. Dinwiddie County DATE: 1908. OWNERS: Mrs. Mamie Gibbs Birdsong. (1936) DESCRIPTION: The burying ground is enclosed with a woven wire fence and markers are at each grave. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following inscriptions are to be found on the tombstones: John Absalom Gibbs C.G. 1 Va. Reg. Husband of Mattie E. Gibbs Born 1838 Died March 12th, 1908 Aged 70 years At Rest Mattie Eliza Gibbs Widow of John Absalom Gibbs Born April 8, 1838 Died October 25, 1915 Blessed is the dead Which die in the Lord.
