Leonard family graveyard: 1936 Nov. 10 Research made by Dorothy Gray Pilout Cemetery Location: 3 miles north of the junction of Namozine and Browns Roads, and is on the east side of and .5 mile from the River Road. Dinwiddie County DATE: 1888. date of oldest grave. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: This graveyard is located in a big open field, and is enclosed by a paling fence, which has fallen down in places. It is on top of a hill, and contains three graves, only one of which is marked by a tombstone. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following is a Confederate marker: Theophilus S. Leonard Co. D 13 Va. Cav. C.S.A. Born Dec. 7, 1832 Died Sept. 21, 1921 Captain T.S. Leonard’s wife, who was Marianna Gresham, is buried beside him. She was born Dec. 15th, 1847 and died 1888.
