DINWIDDIE COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES – Mizpah Church Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, Mizpah Church cemetery: 1936 June 18 Research made by Dorothy Gray Pilout Cemetery Location: This cemetery is located in the rear of Old Mizpah (Christian) Church, which is 6 miles west of Church Road, Virginia, on the north side of Brown Road. Dinwiddie County DATE: Unknown, but the earliest date on tombstone is 1914. OWNERS: (blank) DESCRIPTION: There are four squares in this cemetery, and one of these is enclosed by a concrete curbing. There re several other graves in this cemetery, other than those listed, but they have no grave markers. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: This old Church, due to its location, is not now used as a place of worship, as the Congregation decided several years ago to build a Church in a more convenient location.
