Powell Cemetery Location: 2 miles east of Hebron, Virginia, on Route #460, on the north side of the road, across the Norfolk and Western Railroad one hundred yards to the house. Dinwiddie County DATE: About 1830. OWNERS: Newbill. DESCRIPTION: The Newbills graveyard is northeast of the house, and is enclosed by an iron fence three feet high, sixteen by sixteen feet. There is boxwood here twelve to twenty feet high, and no markers are visible. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The Newbill graveyard of “Mount Level” is reserved forever for a burial ground.
