DINWIDDIE CO., VA - CEMETERIES – Tucker Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, Richard James Tucker graveyard: 1937 Aug. 5 Research made by Mamie Fraser Cemetery Location: 7 miles southeast of Dinwiddie on Route #626, thence .2 mile north on a private road. Dinwiddie County DATE: 1892, date the graveyard was begun. OWNERS: The plantation on which this graveyard is located was owned by Richard James Tucker and inherited by Frank Tucker who reserved the family burying ground when he sold the property to Thomas Corling in 1920. DESCRIPTION: There are no tombstones to be found in this burying ground. The graves are covered with honeysuckle, and there is a very beautiful spruce tree in the graveyard. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: The following persons are buried in this graveyard: Richard James Tucker died March 1892 aged sixty-two years Rebecca Chappell Tucker wife of Richard James Tucker died October 2, 1902 aged about seventy-five years There is also buried here a Mr. Ford, whose first name and the date of this birth is not known.
