DINWIDDIE CO., VA - CEMETERIES – Young’s Farm Cemetery ----¤¤¤---- Source: Library of Virginia Digital Collection LVA Titled Files: Survey Report, Old graveyard on Myra Young’s farm: 1937 Aug. 13 Research made by Elsie D. Hamlin Cemetery Location: 1.6 miles east of Reans, Virginia, on Route #606; thence .2 mile north on Route #622; thence 100 yards west of Route #622. Dinwiddie County DATE: Unknown, as there are not tombstones. OWNERS: The graveyard is on the farm of Myra Young, who is the present owner. (1937) DESCRIPTION: The graveyard is marked by a large walnut tree and has grown up with honeysuckle and bushes. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: There are no tombstones but Mr. Joseph Wood, the oldest resident of the vicinity says that when he was a child he heard people say it was the burying ground of an Aldridge family, who had lived there many years before. The records at the Court House were destroyed during the War Between the States and the property cannot be traced back to an Aldridge family.
