Frahen This deed made this 30th day of November in the year 1853 between Benjamin B Chandler and Mary, his wife, of the City of Petersberg of the first part and Dennis H Frahen of the County of ??wick of the second part. Witnesseth that for in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and twenty dollars and fifty cents in hand paid by the said Dennis Frahan to the said Chandler and wife they the said Chandler and wife do sell and convey unto the said Frahan one certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Dinwiddie adjoining the lands of LD Harmon, DF Hoy and others the ?? distances and boundaries of said land are according to plat herewith returned and made a part of this deed. Containing two hundred and thirty six and one half acres to him the said Dennis H Frahar his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first do further covenant and agree to convey the same with a complete and general warranty. As witness the following signatures and seals. Benjamin B. Chandler Mary A. Chandler Signed, sealed and acknowledged in the presents of us: ? L Keelen William Kelly State of Virginia City of Petersburg ?? We ?? Dodson and William Hinton ?? and justices in and for the City aforesaid in the state of Virginia do certify that Mary A. Chandler, wife of Benjamin B Chandler whose names are signed to the foregoing writing bearing date on the 30th day of November 1853. And hereto ?/ personally appeared before us in our city aforesaid and being examined by us privately and apart from her husband and having the writing aforesaid fully explained to her she the said Mary A Chandler acknowledged the said writing to be her act and deed and declared that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it.
