Will of Elijah Minge/Mingge, 1832 - Dinwiddie Co.VA. Will of Elijah Minge/Mingge - 1832 (Will Book 1, page 129, Dinwiddie Co.VA.) In the name of God Amen. I Elijah Minge of Dinwiddie County, State of Virginia being in a low state of health but of sound mind and perfect memory and knowing that it is once appointed for man to die and wishing to dispose of my property do ordain this my last Will and Testament after all my just debts and funeral expences is paid, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Eliza D.Minge and her two children namely Richard James Mingge and Salley Ann Mingge all my estate that I may possess at my death, except my negro woman Vicey my wish and desire is that my said negro woman Vicey be sold to the best advantage and the money to be applied to the use of my wife and children above named to them and their heirs forever. It is my wish and desire that my friend Robert H.Davis shall be my hole and sole Executor to my Will and that my said friend Robert H.Davis shall sell buy or make any contract that he may think most benifitial for my wife and children, as witness my hand & seal this day and date December 29th 1831.
