Will Abstract of Edward Gouldman, 1764 - Essex County, Virginia October 13, 1764 Pages 219-221 “Parish of Saint Anns and County of Essex being in good health . . .” My whole estate personal and “royal” to Frances Davis during her life, and desire Frances Davis’s son Edward Davis shall have sufficient maintenance and schooling out of the profits of my estate and if the said Edward Davis should live to age of 18 years or marries then I give my whole estate to him. He shall have liberty to will my whole estate if he should die before he arrives to the age of 21. If Edward Davis should die before 18 then I give to my brother Richard Gouldman all the land that I had of my mother. To my brother Robert Gouldman all the land that I purchased of John Andrews.
