Will of Baldwin G. Matthews, 1832 - Essex Co. VA January 14, 1832 Essex Co. Will Book 22, 1829-1832, pages 379 & 380 I Baldwin G. L. Matthews of the county of Essex do make this last will and testament to prevent any disputes that may hereafter arise respecting my property of any kind or description. Item the first I desire that all my law books and property of every description is to be sold upon such terms as my administrator or administrators herein after named may direct. Item the Second I desire that no security may be required by the court of said administrators as I shall direct. Item the Third I direct that all my just debts shall first be paid and the residue of my property equally divided between Doct. Alexander Somervail and Miss Stella Matthews as marks my regard for each of them. Item the Fourth I hereby appoint Doct. Somervail and Stephen D.
