I John Piles of the County of Essex and Parish of South Farnham, being of sound and Perfect mind and memory Thanks be to Almighty God for the same, and calling to mind the uncertainty of this present life, do make and ordain this to be my last will and Testament. In manner and form following First and Principally I recommend my spirit into the hands of almighty God who gave it me and my body to the earth, to be Buried in Decent manner. Direction of my Executors hereafter named and for the disposing of Such Estate as it hath Pleased Almight God to Bestow on me, I do bestow in manner and form following. Imprimis, it is my will and desire that all my just debts and funeral charges be fully and justly paid and discharged. Item. I give and Bequeath unto Richard the Son of Vincent Cauthorn and Will Elliminea his Wife, my Negro man Primos to him and his heirs forever. Item I give unto John the son of James Cauthorn and Mary Magdalen my Bed and furniture and one white horse call Brandy to him and his heirs forever all the Rest and remainder part of my Estate to pay my Debts and if their should be any over to be equil to be divided Between the said Richard & John Cauthorn and Lastly I do appoint Vincent Cauthorn and William Lowry to be my whole Executors of this my last will and Testament. Know all men by these presents, that we Vincent Cauthorn, William Lowry and William Young are held and Firmly bound to Francis Waring, John Rowyce, Simon Miller & James Webb Gent. Justices of the Court of Essex County now Selling, in the sum of One hundred pounds Current Money To the payment of where of well and truly to be made to the said Justices and their ______, we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly and Severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals this 20th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and fifty Seven and in the 1st year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second. The condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bound Vincent Cauthorn, and William Lowry Executors of the Last Will and Testament of John Piles Deceased which have or shall come to the hands provision or knowledge of the said Vincent & William or into the hands and Possession of any other person or persons for them and the same so made do exhibit into the County Court of Essex at such time as they shall be thereunto required by the said Court, and the same Goods Chattels (inserted in between lines) "and all other the Goods Chattels of Credit" of the said deceased, which at any time after shall come to the hands Possession or knowledge of the said Vincent and William or into the hand and Possession of any other person or Persons for them do well and truly Administer according to Law, and further do makde a true and just account of their actings and doings therein when thereto required bye the said court and also shall well and truly pay and deliver all the legacies, contained and specified in the said Testament as far as the said Goods, Chattels and credits will there _____extend, and the Law shall charge.
