Moore Family Cemetery Within this enclosure are buried the Rev. Jeremiah Moore (1746-1815); his wife, Lydia Renno Moore (1745-1835); and some of their eleven children and grandchildren. The Rev. Moore was a Revolutionary War verteran, farmer, andBaptist evangelist. He was an advocate of the separation of church and state. His nearby home, Moorefield, was on 600 acres of farmland. The pyramid marker identifies George Washington Hunter, Sr. (1776-1856); his wife, Angeline Hunter (d. 1856), daughter of Jeremiah and Lydia Moore; and their daughter, Margaret Hunter (d. 1896).
