his wife, Betsy, son, Chris and daughter, Lauren, all of Herndon, Va.; mother 
Frances Knoizen of Weirsdale;  aunt, Nancy McCarter of Weirsdale; and sister, 
Kim Eckel of Watertown, S. D.

Additional Comments:
He was working as a staff anesthesiologist at the National Naval Medical Center 
in Bethesda, Md.
