He entered the service in the beginning of the war and remained until the close. He was a good soldier and deserves help. Whatever service may be rendered him will be appreciated by his Captain. A. Edwards age 52, a native of Va. of Morrisville, Fauquier Co , Virginia Co I, 11 th Infantry, Kempers Birgade, Picketts Division. on about 2 July, 1863 at the battle of Gettysburg was wounded during a charge at the enemy. “I was wounded by a minnie ball on top of the head which cracked my skull resulting in intense pain which renders me incapable of work of any kind. “ “The injury is partial and does, at certain times, render me unable to do work of any kind due to the intense pain of a fractured skull.” Signed Inman R.
