Itam[sic] I leave to my Son Thomas Jackman one hundred and thirty acres of land where he now lives and he is to pay Betty Stone fifty shillings out of it for that is all I intend for her out of my Estate as Witness my hand Thomas Jackman Sen. Itam I leave to my Son Richard Jackman my Pignutridge tract of land and he is to pay my daughter Sarah Nevil fifty shillings out of it for that is all I intend for her out of my Estate as Witness my hand Thos Jackman Sen Itam I leave to my Son Adam Jackman my old plantation tract of land lying at the watery mountain and he is to pay Margaret Underwood fifty shillings out of it for that is all I intend for her out of my Estate As Witness my hand Thomas Jackman Sen. Itam I leave to my Son William Jackman Jackman one hundred acres of land where he now lives or less beginning at the poplar spring branch and a strait[sic] line by a great rock to the black bottom branch then to Millers line and then along and so to the beginning and if he should die without heir lawfully begotten of his body it shall fall to my Son Joseph and I likewise leave to William Jackman my negro child Charles and he is to pay Mary Walker fifty shillings out of it for that is all I intend for her out of my p 431 My Estate as Witness my hand Thos. Jackman Senr. Itam I leave to my Son Joseph the plantation where I now live which is the remainder after my Son Thomas and William is laid off, and I likewise leave to my Son Joseph my negro man Jack and my negro man Ralph and my negro Woman Cate and my Still and all my Stock but my riding horse and Saddle that I leave to my Son John Jackman and all the rest of my Stock to my Son Joseph Jackman consisting of horses mares and Colts Sheep and Cattle and hogs and all my household furniture beds Chests Chairs pewter pots and tools of all kinds and I so order it that he pay Ann Smith fifty shillings out of it for that is all I intend for her out of it As witness my hand Thomas Jackman And I further order that he first of all pay all my debts and take care of his mother and never disturb her as long as she shall live, and it is ordered that she shall have possession of the house where I now live as long as she lives and never be mislested[sic]. And I further leave to my Son Joseph all debts due to me from any person or persons and if my Son Joseph should die without heir lawfully betoten[sic] of his that it shall fall to my Son Adam otherwise to my Son Joseph and his heirs forever. Remember that my Son and to my Son Joseph Jackman is interlined[sic] for I intend none of my Stock for John but my horse and saddle. Itam I still leave to my Son John Jackman one negro Girl Sal and my Rifle Gun, and if he should die without heir lawfully begotten of his body then to my Son Joseph. Itam leave to my Daughter Hannah Smith one negro Girl named Nan. Itam I leave to my Daughter Rebecca Smith one negro girl named Milly, and this is my Will that my Estate shall not be appraised nor inventoried, and if any one of my Children shall grumble or be disatisfied[sic] at this my Will he or she I do allow but one shilling Sterling and the part I intended for them is to be equally divided amongst the rest of my Children And so I again appoint Thomas Jackman and Richard Jackman and Adam Jackman and Joseph Jackman full and sole Executors of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking disannulling and making void all former Wills and Requests by me made but this only to be my last Will and testament In Witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written Thos Jackman LS Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Thomas Jackman to be his last Will and testament in presents of us the subscribers Thomas James John Johnson Henry Moffett, Ju. p 432 At a Court held for Fauquier County the 25th day of March 1782 This Will was proved by the oaths of Thomas James and John Johnson Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded And on the motion of Joseph Jackman one of the Executors therein named who made oath and executed and acknowledged bond as the law directs Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate thereof in due form.
