I, Ignatius West of the County of Spotsylvania being of sound mind and memory, but knowing the uncertainty of Life, do hereby make this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following First and Principally I recommend my Soul into the Hands of the Almighty God hopeing for forgiveness of my Sins thro' the merits and Meditation of Jesus Christ, our blessed Savior and Redeemer, and my Body to the Earth to be there decently interred. As to what worldly Estate it has pleased God to bless me with, after all my just debts be paid, I dispose of the same in the following manner. I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Hanor, the sum of Seventeen pounds two shillings in the Hands of Mr. Harmon Hanor (her Father in law) which is justly due me, in part of her portion with the rest of my children and as to the Residue of my Estate, as Negroes Stock Good Household Furniture, Bonds, Bills, Debts, Dues, or Goods and Chattels of any kind whatsoever or wheresoever, moveable or immoveable, I give and bequeath the same unto my Children to be equally divided among them share and share alike, excepting my Daughter Elizabeth Bolling, and I desire she may have her proportion in Clothing etc. And my desire is that if any of the persons claiming under this will shall give any Disturbance to my Executors in the due Execution thereof, by setting up Claims against my Estate or otherwise; in such case I hereby cut off the Disturber from any part of my Estate more than he or she is already in possession of. Lastly I constitute and appoint my son Benjamin West sole Executor to this my last Will and Testament revoking and annulling all Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made and declaring this to be my last one.
