Information From:  Floyd County, VA Courthouse
                   Marriage Bond & Consent Warren W. Puckett & Nancy Helms
                   Date:  27 Nov. 1847

Know all men by these presents, That we WARREN W. PUCKETT and SMITHEN HOLT
are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Viginia, in the sum of
One Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to be paid to the said Commonwealth; to
which payment will and truly to be made, we bind our heirs, &e, jointly and
severally, firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals, and dated this
27th day of November 1847.
The condition of the above obligation is such, That whereas the above bound
WARREN W. PUCKETT hath this day obtained from the Clerk of the County Court
of Floyd, a License for his marriage with NANCY HELMS daughter of WILLIAM
HELMS of said county, If, therefore, there be no lawful cause to obstruct
said marriage, then the above obligation to be void.

Sir this is to authersise you to grant licens To Warren W. Puckett to marry
my daughter Nancy Helms of the County of Floyd and state of Virginia and
for sodoing this shall be your lawful recept given under my hand at home
and seal this the 27 Day of November 1847
