Shepherd Cemetery Location: 1 mile south on Highway Route #601 from Route #603; thence south 3 miles on Route #604; west side of the road. Fluvanna County DATE: Exact date unknown. DESCRIPTION: To the south of the lawn, now in the woodland is where the two sleep who founded a home here when America was a subject county. Periwinkle and boxwood adorn the finely terraced ground and the marble stones stand white and clear above those founders: Stephen Perkins Died Mar. 14, 1824 Sallie Perkins his wife Died Dec. 21, 1815 Many of their descendants rest within this sacred spot.
