Hannum Cemetery Location: 4 miles northwest of Howardsville, Virginia, on Route #602; thence turn sharp to the east on a private road. About 1 mile to house. Fluvanna County DATE: Pre-revolutionary. (house) DESCRIPTION: “Monticola” HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: There are two graves with markers on a hill near this house. They are in a little circle of cedar trees and have the following inscriptions: John James son of D.J. & _. H. Hartsook born Nov. 7, 1845 died August 26, 1846 Joseph Cabell (evidently this was a small child) There is another unmarked grave. SOURCES OF INFORMATION: Informant: Miss Emily M.
