Strange 223 Acres Fluvanna County ~ Ex'd Beverley Randolph Esquire Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to all to whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye, that by virtue and in Consideration of an Exchanged Land Office Treasury Warrant Number twenty nine Issued the nineteenth day of November one Thousand seven hundred and eighty three, There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto John Alloway Strange Assignee of John Thompson Assignee of Patrick Napier Assignee of Thomas Napier who was Assignee of William Henry a certain Tract or parcel of Land, containing two hundred and forty five Acres by Survey bearing date the fourteenth day of June one Thousand seven hundred and eighty six lying & being in the County of Fluvanna and bounded as followeth, To Wit, Beginning at a corner pine Stump of John A Stranges thence with his line South fifty one degrees East one hundred and ninety six Poles crossing a branch - to a white oak in Nathaniel Thackers line thence with his line North forty five degrees East one hundred and eighty eight poles crossing a branch several times to a pine in James Crewsons line thence with his line North thirty four and a half degrees West one hundred and seventy six poles crossing a branch Several times to a small gum in William Whites line thence with his line South fifty one degrees West two hundred and forty four poles crossing two branches to the beginning With its appurtenances to the said John Alloway Strange & his heirs forever. Benjamin THACKER and John Alloway STRANGE both appear in Fluvanna Court, 6 Nov 1777 and 5 Feb 1778 (Court Order Book).
