Information From: Deed Book 1 Fluvanna County, Virginia Pages 77, 78 Date: 2 April 1778 To all peoples whom these presents shall come I John Ladd send greeting Know ye that I the John Ladd of the County and parrish of Fluvanna for and in consideration of the love good will and affection which I have and do Bear towards John Hunt and Ann his wife of the aforesaid County and parrish of Fluvanna do lend unto the said John and Ann his wife during their life one certain tract or parcel of Land in the aforesaid County and parrish of Fluvanna containing by estimation one hundred Acres be it more or less and Bounded as followeth, to wit, Begining on McKinzeys corner on a white Oak running thence on McKinzeys line crossing Rockfish Creek to a corner pine, thence new lines crossing the Creek to Champion Napiers line, thence on Mapiers line to the begining, lending the above s'd. land unto John Hunt and Ann his Wife during life and after their decease I freely by these presents give the above s'd. land unto their Son David Hunt And to his Heirs Ex's. Adm's. and assigns forever. To have and to hold the said one hundred Acres of Land by estimation to him my said Grandson David Hunt and his Heirs for ever, together with all Improvements Convienances and appertinances whatever in as full, and ample manner as land is E______ held or granted in this Colony, and I do likewise oblige myself to execute this my Deed of gift by Acknowledging of it to my grandson David Hunt in Fluvanna County Court. Containing by estimation one hundred acres be it more or less and Bounded as followeth, to wit, begining at pointers running thence on William Buggs line to Corner red Oak, thence new lines crossing Rock fish Creek to Champion Napiers line on a white Oak, thence on Napiers line to Jn'o. Hunts corner, thence new lines to the begining, lending y'e said Land unto the above Geo: and Elizabeth Corn During their lives, and after their decease I Freely by these presents give the above said land unto their son John Ripley Corn and to his Heirs, Exe's. Adm's. and Assigns forever. To have and to hold the said one hundred Acres of Land by estimation to him my said grandson Jn'o. Ripley Corn, and his heirs forever. Submitted by: bjbrke@worldnet.att.net Information From: Deed Book 1 Fluvanna County, Virginia Pages 372, 373 Date: 29 Nov. 1781 This Indenture of Sale made this 29th day of Nov'r. 1781 Between George Corne of the County of Fluvanna of the one part and John Napier of the same County of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of thirty six pounds Cur'y. in ______ in hand paid the Right whereof I do hereby acknowledge I myself full Satisfied and freed hath granted bargained Sold Alined E________ and confirmed onto the said John Napier and to his Heirs forever one certain Tract or parcel of Land containing two hundred Acres be the same more or Less lying and being in the aforesaid County on a fork of Cummingham Creek and bounded by the Lines of Geo: Roades, Ja's. Cole, and John Handcock, it being the land the said George Corn some years previous morgaged to Cochron H. Whoreon the s'd. Corn family lived unto the said John Napier and to his Heirs forever, and the said George Corn does agree for himself his Heirs, Exr's. Adm's. or Assignes, that he and they will well and truely confirm the hereby Sold premises unto the said John Napier and to his Heirs forever Against the Claim of him George Corn his Heirs ___ or the Claim of any other person or persons whatever. In witness whereof I have herein to Set my hand and Seal the day and year above Written. This Deed and the Receipt endorsed were this day in open Court proved to be the ____ of George Corn by the oaths of Champion Napier & Edward Napier Witness thereto, which is ordered to be certified - And at a Court heal for the said County on Thursday the Seventh day of March 1782.
