PAUL -- Grace Miller Morris, 83, died suddenly Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Durham, N.C. She was a graduate of Rockaway High School and the Banford School of Beauty Culture. A 47-year resident of St. Paul, she was a longtime member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, where she served on the altar guild and the vestry. A dedicated artist, Mrs. Morris loved to draw and paint. She taught various art classes at the community college, in local schools and privately. Her interest and community service included garden club activities and arts festivals. Her husband, Frank Morris, died in 1989. She is survived by three daughters, Pauline Morris Blair, New Bern, N.C., Sarah Morris Gavin, Lexington, S.C., and Catherine Virginia Morris, Durham; one sister, Loretta M. Breen, 88, Seal Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Robert Gillespie Blair III, Andrew Wharton Blair, Thomas Christopher Sellers and Laura Ashton Sellers. A memorial Eucharist was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in St. Paul with the Reverend Fran McCoy officiating. Mrs. Morris was cremated in Durham and her ashes will be scattered in the ocean off Atlantic Beach, N.C. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, c/o The Rev.
