Corrections to the Will of Hugh Rice Morris, 1773, - Fluvanna Co. VA "I see errors in this transcription, although most of them could be called typographical errors. Two of the errors stand out as potentially misleading, however. In the bequest to Daughter Elizabeth Austin, the place name should be "Pedlar" (River), not "Peolar" as transcribed in the archive. The other error which might create confusion is the assigning of middle initials to the witnesses Lilly and Tilman. These letters are their "marks" - the "R" for Robert Lilly, and the "T" for Thomas Tilman. Just as the "X" in "Hugh X Morris" is his mark (doesn't really look like an "x", but it's hard to describe!). Near the beginning, it should read "being in perfect Sense and Memory, Tho' very infirm in Bodyly health do make this my Last Will & Testament in form following..."
