Belcher/Prunty Deed, 1807 p. 317 This Indenture was made this sixth day of April 1807, between Robert Prunty of the County of Franklin and State of Virginia of the first part & Francis Belcher of the County of Franklin & State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert Prunty hath and doth for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five pounds in hand paid this Receipt where of is hereby acknowledged, granted Bargained & Sold unto the said Francis Belcher a certain Tract or parcel of Land ---- containing one hundred acres more or less, lying and being in the said County of Franklin on both sides of the Long Branch; Beginning at a white oak in Elisha Eastis line, thence with Saml. Collands & John James's line crossing the Long Branch to Pointers in Bottom Eastis line, thence with his line to Jessee Eastis corner Hickory, thence with his lines to Elisha Eastis lines, thence with it to the Beginning. To have & to hold unto the said Francis Belcher his heirs etc forever in an indefeatible[?] Estate and the said Robert Prunty doth for himself his heirs & etc covenant and agree to & with the said Frances Belcher his heirs & to warrent & forever defend the said Land & premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining from the Just claims or demands of any persons or persons whatsoever.
