DEED OF JUBAL FERGUSON & NANCY/NANCIE FERGUSON TO E.T. MCGUIRE 1882

This deed made this the 16th day of September 1882 between Jubal E. Ferguson
sole heir of Alexander Ferguson decd and Nancy Ferguson, relict of the said
Alexander Ferguson decd of the first part and E. T. McGuire of the second
part all of the county of Franklin in the state of Virginia, Witnesseth,
That for and inconsideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars
paid by E.T. McGuire party of the second part to Alexander Ferguson in his
life time recupe whereof is acknowledged by the parties of the first part
the said Jubal E. Ferguson and Nancy Ferguson parties of the first part do
grant and convey to E. T. McGuire party of the second part with general
warranty all the following lands, viz-First a certain tract of land lying
and being in the County of Franklin adjoing the lands of Abram Childress
decd, George Dires (sic) decd others containing one hundred and sixty three
acres more or less being the same land conveyed to Alexander Ferguson and
E.T.McGuire by James L. Taylor and wife by deed bearing date the 20th day of
March 1871 and of record in the clerks office of Franklin County. Second, a
certain other tract of land lying and being in Franklin County adjoining the
above named tract and the tract now owned and occupied by John C. Ferguson
containing one hundred and sixty four acres more or less being the same land
purchased by James L. Taylor from Isham M. Ferguson and afterwards sold by
the said James L. Taylor to Alexander Ferguson and E.T. McGuire and conveyed
by deed bearing date March 20th 1871 and of record in the clerks office of
Franklin County to have and to hold the said two tracts of land with the
appurtances there unto belonging to him the said E.T. McGuire forever.

J.B.N. Hatcher a notary public for the County aforesaid in the
State of Virginia do certify that Jubal E. Ferguson and Nancy Ferguson whose
names are signed to the writing above bearing date on the 16th day of
September 1882 came before me personally in my county aforesaid and
acknowledged the same to be this act and deed Given under my hand this the
22nd day of September 1882
