All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ==================================================================== Franklin County, VA Deed Book 2 pages 453, 454 This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of October One Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety by and Between Jefse Heard of the State of Georgia and County of Wilks and Isham Belcher of the State of Virginia and the County of Franklin of the other part witnefseth that for and inconsideration of the Sum of the sum of twenty pounds to Him in hand said the Robt W. Hosaby acknowledged and Himself _____ and paid. Hath Granted Bargained and Sold into the said Isham Belcher to Him and Heirs forever one Land___ Tract or parcel of Land in Franklin County on Poplar Camp Creek Containing one Hundred and fifteen acres be the same more or Lefs it Being the Balance of a Tract of Land I formerly Liv'd on Sold James Wings and Bounded as follows (lowed) Beginning at a marked white oak where the ole Lens Crofses the Indian Hawfs Branch thence said Branch as it Meanders to Samuel Dillion's Line thence with Dillions Line to William Allsolon's Line - thence with said Austin's Line to Isham Belchers Line and the old Line to the Begason a f__y stalion with all apperderances therewith Belonging free and Clear of all Incumberances whatsoever as a free and clear State as for simple to Have the said Isham Belcher to Him and Heirs forever and ______ Jefse Heard for Himself and His Heirs and with the said Isham Belcher His Heirs and doth Covinant and Do by those present firmly agree the above'd mentioned Land and premices to warrant and forever defend against the Lawfull Claim or Claims of any persons whatsoever in witnefs whereof the said Jefse Heard Hath Hereunto Sat His Hand--Sice'd His Seal the day and date above Rollern Intend and in the Seventh Line and the first Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us. Teste John Law Jun. his Isham X Belcher Jefse Heard mark Israel Standefsee At a Court Held for Franklin County in April 1791 this Indenture together with the Receipt Hereon Endorsed was proved by the Oaths of two witnefses and Ordered to be Certify'd and at a Court Held for Franklin County in December 1792 was further proved by the Oath from other witnefs to be to be the act and Deed of the within mentioned Jefse Heard and the Same was Ordered to be Recorded by the Court.
