AKERS, William KINSER, Jacob KINSEY, Jacob Jacob Kinsey/Kinser to William Akers, 29 May 1801, 180 acres on Bush Run, a branch of the Blackwater River, in Franklin County page 177 This Indenture made this 29th day of May 1801 between Jacob Kinsey of Franklin County of the one part, and William Akers of The same County of the other part: Witnesseth that he the said Jacob Kinsey for and in consideration of the just and full sum of one hundred pounds lawful money of Virginia to him the said Jacob Kinsey in hand paid by the said William Akers the Receipt whereof he the said Jacob Kinsey hath given granted, bargained & sold, and by these Presents doth give, grant, bargain, & sell unto him the said William Akers, one certain tract or parcel of Land in Franklin County, on the Waters of [the] Black Water [River], on Bush Run containing one hundred and eighty acres, and bounded as followeth to wt.: Beginning at Pointers in Kinseys Line S. 87o E 82 po. [poles] crossing Bush Run, to a Branch thence up the same as it meanders and up the Hollow to a small R.O. [Red Oak] No. 30 po. E. 35 po. to Pointers, No. 12 E. 68 po. to a R.O. No. 26 E. 116 po. to a Sp. O. [Spanish Oak] No. 72 E. 10 po. to a Chesnut tree on a road; thence along Calloway’s order [?older] Line S. 15 E. 170 to a R.O. S. 20 W. 60 po. to a R.O. No. 30 W. 28 po. to a R.O. in the old Line; thence with the same S.66 W.60 po. to a black oak S.64 po. to a Hickory; No.66 West 28 po. to Pointers; S.52 W. 156 po. to a R.O. No. 15 W. 18 po. to a Sowerwood on Bush Run; thence down the same as it meanders to a W.O [White Oak] No. 30 West 60 po. to the Begin. together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining there to have and To hold the said bargained Land and Premises unto him the said William Akers his Heirs and assigns for ever, and the said Jacob Kinsey his Heirs & assigns doth warrant and for ever defend a good and lawful Right in fee Simple unto him the said William Akers his Heirs and assigns & against the just Claims and demand of all other persons whatsoever.
