Franklin County, Virginia deed book 2, p. 493 Names in this record: BRYSON CALLAWAY, James KINSEY, Jacob LEATHERMON LEE, Braxton RENTFRO, James, Josh., Mark, Moses James Rentfro to Jacob Kinsey, 1 June 1792, 33 acres on Bush Run page 493 This Indenture made this first day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and ninety two Between James Rentfro of the County of Montgomery of the one part and Jacob Kinsey of the County of Franklin of the other Part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of thirty Pounds Current Money of Virginia in Hand Paid by the said Kinsey the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Rentfro who hath Granted Bargain’d Sold and Conveyed unto the said Kinsey a Certain tract or Parcell of Land Containing thirty three acres be the same more or Less lying & being in the County of Franklin on the West side of Bush Run it Being part of a Tract Granted to James Rentfro & is Bounded as follows, Viz. Beginning at a Corner Red Oak in Bryson’s Line thence south seventy five degrees west sixty poles to a Chesnut tree on the Waggon Road Thence south seventeen Degrees East one Hundred and Eighty poles to Leathermons Corner Red Oak and North ten Degrees East two Hundred and fifty four Poles to the Beginning with its appurtenances to have and to Hold the above Granted Land and Premises unto Kinsey His Heirs and assigns forever in an Indefeaceable fee simple and the said Rentfro Doth for Himself and Heirs Covenant and agree to and with the said Kinsey and His Heirs to warrant and forever Defend the above Tract or Parcell of Land from the Claim of any person or persons whatsoever unto the said Kinsey His Heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof the said Rentfro Hath Hereunto set His Hand and Caused His Seal to be affixed on the day and year first above Written In Presence of Josh. Rentfro Moses Rentfro Mark Rentfro Braxton Lee James Rentfro At a Court Held for Franklin County in December 1792 this Indenture was Proved by the oaths of two of the witnesses thereto subscribed to be the act and Deed of James Rentfro and the same was ordered to be Certified And at a Court Held for said County in February, this Indenture was further Proved by the oath of one other Witness Hereto subscribed to be the act and deed of James Rentfro and the same was ordered to be Recorded Tes James Callaway Clk.
