Woods and others and also for the further consideration of five dollars to me in hand paid by the said Ransom, William and Silas Perdue, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have, granted, assigned and transfered, and by these presents, do grant assign and transfer unto the said Ransom, William and Silas Perdue all benefit, interest, claim and dividends, of every sort, kind or description whatever, that I now have or may ever hereafter have, in and to a suit now pending or lately pending in the lower court of appeals of Virginia in which Mark Perdue and Isaiah Perdue executors of Meshack Perdue decd are appeliants and I am appellee which said appeal was taken by Meshack Perdue in his lifetime from a decree of the circuit superior court of Law & Chancery for the County of Franklin, in a suit then pending in the last mentioned court in which I was plantiff and he was defendant. To have to hold unto them the said Ransom, Williamd and Silas Perdue their heirs & forever free from the claims or demands of me the said John Perdue Sr. my heirs & forever. In Witness whereof I the said John Perdue Sr. have hereunto set my hand & seal this 10th day of December, in the year 1845. This Indenture of bargain and sale between John Perdue Sr of the one part and Ransom Perdue, William Perdue and Silas Perdue of the other part was acknowledged in the said office by the said John Perdue Sr. and admitted to record.
