The Weekly Constitution, Atlanta, Ga. September 23, 1890
Richmond, Va., September 15--The governor has commuted the sentence of Nannie 
Woods, colored, sentenced to be hanged Sepetember 19th, for burning the town of 
Rocky Mount, Franklin county, last October, to imprisonment for life.
