VIA. The Floyd Intelligencer says: The deceased had come home after night under the influence of ardent spirits, and for some trifling offence inflicted a sever castigation upon one of his younger sons, and upon William's expostulating with him upon his brutality, he made an attack upon him which resulted in being struck on the head with an axe, from the effect of which he died the next morning.
