Dodson (Patrick Co.). The people of this community were sorry to learn of the death of Posie James, the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ingram and one brother, Leonard, had preceded him to the grave only a short while before. He underwent an operation at Shackelford hospital for appendicitis on Wednesday evening and died Friday. He leaves to mourn his loss six sisters: Mrs. John Chaney, Mrs. Richard Scott, Mrs. Sid Thomas, Mrs. Ferris Quinn and Misses Betise and Marine James, and three brothers: Wilbert, Harry and Milton James, and his mother, Mrs. Mollie James. Funeral services were conducted Saturday and he was laid to rest in the family burial grounds near his home. Additional Comments: He is buried in the Sam James Family Cemetery which is located off Johnny's Ridge about 1/2 mile in the woods.
