Meador/Wray Marriage Record, 1843 - Franklin Co. VA Know all men by these presents, That we Josephus Meador and James Ray are held firmly bound unto Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the just and full sum of hundred and fifty dollars the payment whereof, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 11th day of December 1843. The condition of the above Obligation is such, That whereas the above bound Josephus Meador hath this day obtained from the Clerk of Franklin County Court, a license for his intermarriage with Tabitha Ray of said County. Now, if there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
