Jacob Stover land grant, 1730 - Frederick Co.,VA “The Fairfax Land Suit” John Hite et al vs Lord Fairfax et al 364. Whereas Jacob Stover a native of Switzerland hath by his petition made humble suit to this Board for Leave to take up ten thousand acres of Land on the west side the great mountains and on the scond fork of Sherrando River on both sides the Branches thereof for the settlement of himself and Divers German and Swis Families his Associates whom he proposes to bring thither to dwell in two Years space.
