Between Ralph WORMELEY of the County of Middlesex & State of Virginia of the one part and Ezekiel BULL of the County of Berkeley & State Aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the Sum of one thousand pounds Current money of Virginia to the said Ralph WORMELEY in hand paid by the said Ezekiel BULL at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof doth release acquit and discharge the said Ezekiel BULL his heirs executors and Administrators by these presents the said Ralph WORMELEY hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, and confirm unto the said Ezekiel BULL and his heirs a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Berkeley the plot whereof is here unto annexed and bounded as follows. Beginning at a Locust Stake in the triangle of two Black Oaks and a Locust in the line of the said Land surveyed by Mr. Thomas RUTHERFORD and now a corner also to Mr. Battaille MUSE then with MUSES Line N.64.30 W80 poles to five young White Oaks, Locust & Black Oak Joseph REDARS line, now LARUES, then with it with a variation of 4D. 27M. N.24.30E passing by a White Oak corner to WASHINGTON & LEE to a stake in the fork of the Bull Skin 4 (?) 86 poles Then S.86.E 640 poles to a Sycamore on Shanandoah River corner to FAIRFAX then N. 85.30. W517 poles to two White Oaks and three Black Oaks on a hill thence S25. W518 poles crossing Bull Skin Marsh to the Beginning Containing 334 Acres, as now laid down this 17th January 1793 by John DAVENPORT, and all houses, buildings, Orchards, Ways, Waters, Water Courses, Profits, Commodities, Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises hereby granted or any part thereof belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the Reversion and Reversions, Remainder and Remainders, Rents, Issues and Profits thereof and also all the Estate, Right, Title, Interest, Use, Trust, Property and Demand whatsoever of him the said Ralph WORMELEY his heirs executors admrs or assigns of in and to the said premises, and all Deeds, evidences and Writings, touching or in any wise concerning the same: To have and to hold the Lands hereby conveyed and all and Singular other the premises hereby granted and released and every part and parcel thereof, with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said Ezekiel BULL his heirs and assigns forever, to the only proper use and behoof Page 98 behoof of him the said Ezekiel BULL and of his heirs and assigns forever.And the said Ralph WORMELEY for himself and his heirs, executors, and administrators, doth covenant promise and grant, to and with the said Ezekiel BULL his heirs and assigns by these presents, that the said Ralph WORMELEY now at the time of sealing and delivering of these presents is seized of good, sure, perfect, and indefeasible Estate of Inheritance in fee simple, of and in the premises hereby granted and released and that he hath good power, and lawful and absolute Authority, to grant and convey the same to the said Ezekiel BULL his heirs Executors, admrs or Assigns in manner and form aforesaid; and that the said premises now are, and so forever hereafter hereafter shall remain, and be free and clear of and from all formes and other Gifts, Grants, Bargains, Sales, Dower, Right and title of Dower, Judgments, executions, titles, Troubles, charges, and encumbrances whatsoever made, done, committed, or suffered, by the said Ralph WORMELEY or any other person or persons whatsoever. And Lastly that the said Ralph WORMELEY for himself, his heirs the said Tract of Land above mentioned with their and each of their appurtenances above mentioned to him the said Ezekiel BULL and his heirs all and Singular the premises hereby granted and released with the appurtenances unto the said Ezekiel BULL his heirs and assigns against him the said Ralph WORMELEY and his heirs, & and all and every other person and persons whatsoever, shall warrant and forever Defend by these presents.
